Benedictine College’s website got a makeover.

From the home page to the faculty directory, the site has been entirely rebuilt.

“This is a completely new website, not an update of the existing site, so we are replacing everything,” said Steve Johnson, director of Marketing & Communications.

Megan Bickford, Benedictine’s art director, says the site’s goal is to create a more engaging and interactive online experience.

Students traveling to Washington, D.C. on the March for Life got close, real close.

After a 36-hour bus ride, delayed by icy roads and snow, more than 250 students attending the March for Life formed new relationships and renewed old ones.

For Stephanie Trouba, March for Life coordinator and a sophomore at Benedictine, the trip was rewarding yet challenging.

“I felt like I was taking care of people and was responsible for them. I was expected to be the leader,” said Trouba, who has participated in three earlier marches.

Making the journey back from studying abroad can be a “sweet-and-sour” combination of welcome relief and sad nostalgia.

Benedictine welcomed 40 students back to campus this month after they spent the fall semester overseas in Florence, Italy.

Adjusting to European styles of living can be a new and intimidating experience, not to mention the new habits and customs that come with Italian life. Major lifestyle differences range from suave Italian attire with a plethora of colorful scarves and leather, wine at every meal, foreign slang, the exchange rate and the general atmosphere of Europe.
